Sidhu Moose Wala Returns as Hologram in Toronto as "Chota Sidhu" Clips Go Viral From Signed to God Tour Opener

Sidhu Moose Wala returned to the stage as a 3D hologram on Friday, October 9, 2026, as his "Signed to God World Tour" opened to a packed Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. Clips tagged "Chota Sidhu," a name fans use for the late singer's younger brother, have been circulating widely on social media from the show.
Note: Wipidia could not open the YouTube, Instagram and Facebook links in the request, and none of the news reports reviewed describe a specific stage entry by the younger brother. The viral clips and their details are therefore not independently verified here.
The tour opener
According to The Tribune, the Toronto show marked the first hologram-based world tour by an Indian artist. The production recreates Moose Wala's stage presence using 3D projections synced to his original vocals, along with cinematic visuals and stage effects. The hologram segment was expected to run about 20 to 25 minutes of a roughly 100-minute show, and several singers who collaborated with him also performed. Fans online reacted emotionally, with many saying the projection looked real.
To coincide with the opening, a new music video for his 2021 track "295" premiered on YouTube. The Tribune reported it crossed 2.8 lakh views within 30 minutes.
The family at the show
Moose Wala's father, Balkaur Singh, told The Tribune that he, his wife and the singer's younger brother, also named Shubhdeep Singh and known as "Nikka Sidhu," are attending the shows. Balkaur told Billboard India that the hologram gives him a sense of pride in Sidhu's legacy while also reopening the wound of his absence. The idea of hologram concerts began taking shape when Moose Wala himself discussed performances where he would not need to be physically present, Balkaur said.
What is next on the tour
Moose Wala was shot dead in Mansa, Punjab, on May 29, 2022, at the age of 28. Billboard Canada reports the tour continues at Vancouver's Rogers Arena on October 15 and at Calgary's Scotiabank Saddledome. Billboard India lists six concerts across Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, New York, Houston and Oakland in October and November, while Balkaur said the first phase would comprise 10 shows. The tour is expected to extend to the UK, UAE, Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan and India, though dates beyond North America have not been announced.
