Robert Kelker-Kelly Dead at 62: 'Days of Our Lives' Bo Brady Actor Dies
Robert Kelker-Kelly, the actor who played Bo Brady on NBC's Days of Our Lives in the 1990s, has died at the age of 62. TMZ was the first to report the news, citing a Missouri medical examiner who confirmed he died on October 3, 2026.
What police said
The St. Peters Police Department, in Missouri, told reporters that officers responded to a home after a report of an unconscious man who was not breathing. Police said he had reportedly complained of chest pain shortly before becoming unresponsive. Officers and paramedics tried life-saving measures without success. Police said the circumstances appeared consistent with a medical event. An official cause of death has not been released.
His soap opera career
Kelker-Kelly, who was born in Wichita, Kansas, began his acting career in 1987 as Sam Fowler on *Another World. In 1992, he joined Days of Our Lives, taking over the role of Bo Brady* from original star Peter Reckell. He played Bo opposite Kristian Alfonso's Hope Brady and Lisa Rinna's Billie Reed, in a love triangle that became one of the show's best-known storylines. He remained in the role until 1995, when Reckell returned. Reports say he appeared in nearly 600 episodes.
He later played Stavros Cassadine on *General Hospital, and also appeared in Port Charles and Touched by an Angel*.
Earlier this year, Rinna wrote in her memoir that the two did not get along on set. Kelker-Kelly did not publicly respond to her claims, according to TMZ.
Life after acting
In 1997, Kelker-Kelly married actress Miriam Parrish and stepped away from Hollywood. He later became a professional pilot, and Variety reports he was still teaching and flying until his death.
No funeral or memorial details had been announced at the time of writing.
