Ramayana Part 1 Locks November 5 Worldwide Release: Ranbir Kapoor, Yash Film Gets New Poster, Part 2 Set for Diwali 2027

The makers of Nitesh Tiwari's two-part epic Ramayana have confirmed that Part 1 will release in cinemas worldwide on Thursday, November 5, 2026, across all premium formats. The date was announced on Sunday, October 11, with a new ensemble poster released on the first day of Navratri.

The poster features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman and Yash as Ravana, who towers over the others in the frame. The release will cover India in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, according to IANS-based reports. Part 2 is scheduled for Diwali 2027.

The film moves its first part from a Diwali release to the days before the festival. Zee News described the change as a shift from the Diwali window to the pre-Diwali period, and ETV Bharat said the announcement came after different dates had surfaced in recent promotional material and reports.

IBNS reported that advance bookings are expected to open on Dussehra. Wipidia has not seen a ticketing platform or the makers confirm the exact booking start date and time, so check official announcements.

DNEG is the eight-time Oscar-winning visual effects company that produces the film's effects, and the makers have promoted the project as a large-scale adaptation of the epic aimed at audiences worldwide.

Ramayana is among the most expensive and closely watched Indian productions in development, and its two-part, multi-language release gives it a long run in the festive season. A November 5 release places it close to Diwali, traditionally a strong period for big releases.
