
Hurricane Polo Nears Mexico as Category 5 Storm in One of Pacific’s Strongest Cyclones
Hurricane Polo has rapidly intensified into one of the strongest Pacific hurricanes in decades, with maximum sustained winds reaching around 155–165 mph. Although the storm is forecast to remain offshore, its outer bands are already reaching southwestern Mexico, bringing risks of heavy rain, flooding, mudslides and dangerous coastal conditions.
