OPPO ColorOS 17 Global and India Launch Set for October 13: Time, Features and Eligible Phones

OPPO has confirmed that ColorOS 17, its Android 17-based software, will be unveiled to global markets, including India, on October 13, 2026. The event starts at 11:00 AM CEST, which is 2:30 PM IST, and runs under the "Silky Smooth" theme.
What OPPO has confirmed
- Global and India unveiling: October 13, 2026, at 2:30 PM IST.
- First phones with ColorOS 17: The OPPO Find X10 series, which OPPO India says will be the first lineup to carry ColorOS 17 in the country.
- Find X10 global launch: October 21 in Spain, at 4:00 PM CEST (7:30 PM IST). An India launch is expected shortly after, but OPPO has not confirmed a date.
- Open beta: Registrations are live in India for select OPPO and OnePlus phones, including the Find X9 series, OnePlus 15 and OnePlus 13. Applications close on October 12.
- Accessories: The OPPO Enco X4 earbuds, tuned with Dynaudio, have also been teased for India.
Background
ColorOS 17 was first shown in China on September 17 and began its stable rollout there on October 8. The China schedule covers around 90 devices across OPPO, OnePlus and realme, with later batches on October 16, 20, 22 and 30.
OPPO says the update centres on a refreshed Fluid Design with smoother animations and responsive feedback, along with tighter hardware and software integration for demanding tasks such as multitasking and long 4K video recording. The company is also promising up to six years of smooth performance on eligible devices.
What is still unknown
OPPO has not yet published an India or global update schedule or a full list of eligible devices outside China. Historically, international rollouts follow the China schedule by a few weeks, so the October 13 event is expected to clear this up. Features and availability may differ between regions.
Bottom line
If you own a Find X9 series phone, OnePlus 15 or realme GT 8 Pro, the October 13 event is the one to watch for rollout dates in your market.
