ElevenLabs Valuation Doubles to $22 Billion as AI Voice Agent Demand Explodes

ElevenLabs Doubles Valuation to $22 Billion as AI Voice Agents Surge
ElevenLabs Valuation Hits $22 Billion
London-based AI voice startup ElevenLabs has doubled its valuation to $22 billion, highlighting the growing investor interest in AI agents and voice-based artificial intelligence.
The company completed a $300 million employee tender offer, allowing employees and existing shareholders to sell shares to investors. Unlike a conventional funding round, a tender offer primarily provides liquidity to existing shareholders rather than raising fresh capital for the company.
The latest transaction represents a major increase from ElevenLabs' $11 billion valuation in February 2026, when the company raised $500 million in its Series D funding round.
Major Investors Join ElevenLabs
The tender offer was led by Wellington Management and T. Rowe Price. Existing investors including Andreessen Horowitz and Lightspeed also participated, while several major institutions joined ElevenLabs as new investors.
Among the new investors are EQT, Goldman Sachs, Singapore's GIC, Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, Sapphire Ventures and BDT & MSD, according to reports on the transaction.
The investment comes as AI companies compete aggressively for researchers, engineers and enterprise customers. The employee share sale also gives ElevenLabs' workforce an opportunity to realise part of the value created by the company's rapid growth.
AI Voice Agents Are Driving the Growth
The biggest change in ElevenLabs' business has been its expansion beyond traditional text-to-speech technology into AI-powered conversational agents.
Its ElevenAgents platform allows businesses to deploy AI agents capable of interacting with customers through voice and other communication channels. These systems are being used for tasks including customer support, appointment booking, insurance renewals and refund processing.
ElevenLabs says its AI agents now handle more than 15 million conversations every week, approximately three times the level recorded in February.
Enterprise customers now account for more than 55% of the company's revenue, while its annual recurring revenue has reached around $600 million, according to recent company statements and reporting.
The company's technology can also speak, listen and translate across more than 90 languages, expanding its potential use across international businesses and government services.
From Text-to-Speech Startup to AI Agent Company
Founded in 2022 by Mati Staniszewski and Piotr Dąbkowski, ElevenLabs initially became known for its realistic AI-generated voices and text-to-speech technology.
The company has since expanded into conversational AI, voice agents, dubbing, translation and other AI applications.
Its valuation trajectory illustrates the speed of growth in the sector. ElevenLabs was valued at about $3.3 billion in January 2025, reached $6.6 billion during an employee tender offer in September 2025, and then climbed to $11 billion in February 2026. The latest transaction puts the valuation at $22 billion.
Why the $22 Billion Valuation Matters
ElevenLabs' latest valuation reflects a broader shift in the AI industry from experimental generative AI tools toward AI agents capable of completing real-world business tasks.
Companies are increasingly exploring AI agents for customer service, administration and routine operational workflows. Voice adds another layer by allowing customers to interact with AI through natural conversations rather than traditional apps or text interfaces.
For ElevenLabs, the rapid increase in weekly conversations and enterprise revenue indicates that voice AI is becoming a commercial product category rather than simply a content-generation technology.
What Comes Next for ElevenLabs?
ElevenLabs is continuing to expand its enterprise business while competing for AI talent with larger technology and AI companies.
CEO Mati Staniszewski has also discussed preparing the company for a potential IPO within the next two to two-and-a-half years, although an eventual listing would depend on market and business conditions.
The latest $22 billion valuation therefore marks more than a jump in startup worth. It signals the increasing financial importance of voice AI and autonomous conversational agents as businesses look for ways to automate customer interactions and operational tasks.
