ColorOS 17 Launches Today at 2:30 PM IST: Living Flow Design, AI Mind Pilot, Livestream Details and Eligible Phones

OPPO's ColorOS 17, built on Android 17, launches today, Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 2:30 PM IST (11:00 AM CEST) for India and global markets. The unveiling is streamed live on the OPPO Community launch thread and on YouTube, according to OPPO and media reports.
What to expect at the launch
- Living Flow Design (Fluid Design): A system-wide animation framework meant to make scrolling, swiping and switching screens feel smoother and more consistent. The related "Luminous Effect" adds soft, dynamic light ripples, most visible on the quick settings panel and notification toggles, per Sunday Guardian.
- AI features: An improved AI Suggest, which recommends widgets based on usage, and AI Mind Pilot with Agent Mode, designed to handle multi-step tasks involving locally saved media and documents, according to LatestLY.
- Performance: OPPO has emphasised tighter integration between hardware and software. Gizbot noted that the October 13 event is expected to give a clearer picture of features, the rollout schedule and supported devices.
- Hardware debut: The OPPO Find X10 series will ship with ColorOS 17 out of the box. LatestLY reports its global launch for October 21 in Mallorca, while TelecomTalk gives October 22 for India. OPPO India has not confirmed an India date for the phone.
Is the stable update available today?
Not necessarily. Digit stresses that the stable rollout will not begin on the same day. China started receiving the stable update on October 8, and if India follows a similar pattern, devices such as the Find X9, OnePlus 15 and realme GT 8 Pro may be among the first to receive it after the event. OPPO has not published an official eligible device list, so any list beyond the beta programme is an expectation.
Open beta in India
Open beta registrations ran until October 12. Devices listed for the India beta by outlets such as Gizbot and WiserAI include:
- OnePlus: OnePlus 15, 15R, 13, 13s and 13R
- OPPO: Find X9, Find X9s, Find X8, Reno 15 Pro and Reno 15 Pro mini
- realme: GT 8 Pro, GT 7 Pro, GT 7, GT 7 Dream Edition and GT 7T (per WiserAI)
Early beta software can bring bugs and battery drain, so backing up data before installation is advisable.
A shared software family
Reports say OnePlus is moving eligible phones in India from OxygenOS to ColorOS 17, and realme from Realme UI, which marks a shift to a unified software experience across OPPO's brands.
