Elena Rybakina Wins First US Open Title, Rises to World No. 1
Elena Rybakina produced a composed and powerful performance to defeat two-time defending champion Aryna Sabalenka in the US Open final at Arthur Ashe Stadium. The victory gives Rybakina her third Grand Slam title and her second major championship of 2026. She will also become the first player representing Kazakhstan to reach the world No. 1 ranking.
