Boeing Wins $20 Billion U.S. Navy F/A-XX Fighter Contract in Major Sixth-Generation Jet Deal

Boeing has been selected by the U.S. Navy to develop its future carrier-based F/A-XX sixth-generation fighter, in a contract valued at more than $20 billion for the full-scale development phase. The program is expected to produce a new generation of advanced naval combat aircraft, with the fighter planned to begin replacing the Navy's F/A-18 Super Hornet fleet in the 2030s.
