OPPO Brings Manus AI Agent to Find X10, Pushing Phones From Answering Questions to Finishing Tasks

OPPO has announced a partnership with AI agent platform Manus to bring agentic AI to its smartphones, starting with the upcoming Find X10 series running ColorOS 17. The collaboration, announced on October 13, 2026 from Shenzhen, integrates Manus' agentic capabilities into AI Mind Pilot's new Agent Mode, so users can turn complex, multi-step requests into ready-to-use results.
What Was Announced
Under the tie-up, Manus technology will power parts of OPPO's AI Mind Pilot assistant. The goal is to move beyond simple question-and-answer chat toward an assistant that takes action. OPPO says the partnership advances its vision of "Personalized Proactive Intelligence," in which AI understands users and proactively helps them get things done.
The Manus-powered capabilities will debut on the OPPO Find X10 series with ColorOS 17. The companies said further details on availability, supported markets and user benefits will be announced at launch.
What Users Will Be Able to Do
The companies gave several examples. A user planning a trip could simply ask AI Mind Pilot to organise their travel plans. The same system can find and organise photos from a trip or locate specific images, and it can bring together existing files and online information to create a presentation, proposal, portfolio or other ready-to-use content from a single prompt.
Executives' Comments
Kai Tang, OPPO's president of software engineering, said agentic AI marks an important shift from answering questions to helping users get things done, and that the partnership will bring more proactive and capable experiences to AI Mind Pilot. Tao Zhang, co-founder and chief product officer of Manus, said smartphones are a natural platform for personal AI agents and that combining Manus' agentic abilities with OPPO's system-level integration will make advanced agents more accessible.
Privacy and User Control
Because agentic AI works with personal context and completes tasks on a user's behalf, OPPO stressed privacy, security and control. The companies say users stay in charge of what information is accessed, which actions are taken and whether external processing is allowed. ColorOS 17 uses on-device models to understand and organise relevant information locally, and OPPO and Manus say they aim to deliver more capable agentic AI through on-device processing and transparent authorisation.
Some reports add that for simple operations such as searching, sorting or renaming files and photos, the original content is not sent to Manus. OPPO has not yet published full technical details on exactly which tasks run locally and which use external processing.
How It Fits Into ColorOS 17
OPPO announced ColorOS 17, based on Android 17, in India on October 13, with the Find X10 series set to debut the software on October 22 and rollouts to existing phones starting October 29. AI Mind Pilot's Agent Mode, which can work with on-device files and complete multi-step tasks, is one of the headline features. The Manus integration is described as debuting on the Find X10 series, and it is unclear yet whether the Manus-powered features will reach older OPPO phones.
Why It Matters
Smartphone makers are racing to turn AI from a chatbot into an agent that can complete tasks. By partnering with a specialist agent platform instead of building everything itself, OPPO gains advanced capabilities faster. For users, the key questions will be how reliable the agent is, how well it respects privacy settings and which regions get access first.
