LinkedIn introduced new B2B lead generation features, including enhanced buyer intent signals and automated follow-up sequences designed to help sales and marketing teams identify and engage prospects earlier in the buying journey.
The intent signals draw on aggregated engagement data — such as profile views, content interactions, and page visits — to flag accounts showing increased activity around relevant topics. LinkedIn says the feature is built with privacy safeguards that aggregate signals at the account level rather than exposing individual user browsing behavior.
The update also expands LinkedIn's Lead Gen Forms with automated multi-step follow-up sequences, reducing manual work for sales teams managing high lead volumes from campaigns.
B2B marketers have generally welcomed the update, noting that LinkedIn's first-party intent data offers a level of professional context that's difficult to replicate on other platforms, though some have raised questions about data accuracy at scale.
