27 September 2026 — The West Indies' white-ball tour of India gets under way, opening the 2026-27 home international season for India.

India and the West Indies share a long cricketing rivalry dating back to India's first Test series against the West Indies in 1948–49. The West Indies won the first two men's World Cups in 1975 and 1979, while India's famous 1983 World Cup triumph came against the West Indies in the final at Lord's.

The series overlaps with the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya (until 4 October), where India's women's cricket team has already won gold, and with India's domestic cricket season getting under way.

The series runs until 17 October. Results, squads and venues will be available through BCCI's official platforms throughout the tour.
