Rahul Mishra and Tanishq at Paris Couture Week, plus Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla and Manish Malhotra's new jewellery lines

Indian fashion houses are moving into jewellery. At Paris Couture Week 2026, couturier Rahul Mishra and Tanishq Natural Diamonds debuted a high-jewellery collection that turns architectural forms into fluid florals. Weeks later, Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla launched its first jewellery line, and Manish Malhotra launched an everyday fine jewellery collection online. This guide covers the three launches, what makes each different, and why couture labels are heading in this direction.
Note: Much of the information on the Tanishq and Rahul Mishra collection comes from the brands' own press materials and trade coverage, and has not been independently reviewed.

Tanishq Natural Diamonds and Rahul Mishra presented the collection at Paris Couture Week, held July 6 to 9, 2026. The brands describe it as a first-of-its-kind couture jewellery collaboration between India's leading jewellery house and one of its best-known designers. Tanishq has shown at Paris Couture Week since 2023, and Rahul Mishra is described as the first Indian designer invited to show at Paris Haute Couture Week.
The collection draws on the interplay between structure and nature, transforming architectural forms into fluid florals through sculptural silhouettes, detailed work and gemstone artistry, according to the brands. Rather than making jewellery to complement couture, the two houses conceived each piece as an extension of the garments, echoing the same architectural precision, movement and storytelling.
Two centrepieces were named: the Enchanted Canopy and the Imperial Cascade Neckwear. Natural white and black diamonds were paired with citrine, emerald, amethyst, pink tourmaline, rubellite and garnet, using pavé, snow pavé, channel and prong settings.
Elle India reports that the collection took almost a year, through an exchange Mishra described as a jugalbandi between his studio and Tanishq's design team. Motifs from his work, including poppies, three-dimensional forms, hexagons and architectural references, were rethought at the scale of jewellery, with weight, carat count, setting and wearability shaping each piece.
The pieces were conceived as one-of-a-kind or limited-edition creations, available after Paris only through curated showcases and private client experiences. The collection later made its first India appearance at an invite-only presentation at the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai, per MediaBrief. Tanishq also stresses its commitment to natural diamonds, supported by its partnership with De Beers Group.
Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla launched its first jewellery collection, Iconic Jewels, in early September 2026, after the label's 40th anniversary. Veteran actor Dimple Kapadia is its muse and the face of the campaign and brand film.
Four lines make up the collection: Abad, Roshnai, Talismati and Junoon. The Abad line draws on Patola embroidery, in 18-karat gold with Zambian emeralds, Mozambique rubies and multicoloured sapphires, according to The Retail Jeweller. FashionNetwork says the designs draw on the brand's maximalist archive, with materials ranging from diamonds and pearls to emeralds, rubies and sapphires.
The full collection is available at Mubarak Baug, the label's flagship store in South Mumbai, in its jewellery vault.
Reports describe Iconic Jewels as a high-jewellery debut with one-of-a-kind pieces, not as an everyday line. The reports reviewed do not give prices.
Manish Malhotra Fine Jewellery announced the M Collection in early September 2026, exclusively on Tata CLiQ Luxury. It is described as Malhotra's first online fine jewellery boutique, and the collection is also available at his flagship stores.
The M Collection is conceived as everyday fine jewellery, turning the house's "M" insignia into a signature designed to be worn every day, according to Heera Zhaveraat. The Retail Jeweller says it features everyday designs in 18-karat gold and natural diamonds, with gemstones in some designs. Tata CLiQ Luxury's CEO Gopal Asthana said the launch brings Indian craft heritage to a wider circle of shoppers.
Outlook Luxe describes fine jewellery as an increasingly natural extension for fashion houses with strong ateliers and devoted clients, noting that Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla joins a growing list of Indian couturiers entering the category. The three launches show different routes:
